Jordana Moon and Tom Aries, an inimitable duo that the universe helped bring closer together, are climbing the ladders to reach the rare-air of epic performance and make that global effect on culture. Their relationship defies and beyond the norm; they share a deep and natural connection for practically everything, and their fiery ambition to convey a tale via larger-than-life tunes holds them together like super glue. They are now working on a sport for true warriors, which requires huge courage, immense conviction, and unusual character strength – all of which they appear to possess, what a duo! Moon is a Western Canadian singer-songwriter who hopes to inspire and empower future generations through her intuitive songs and passionate delivery. She is also a multi-instrumentalist, capable of playing the piano, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, electronic guitar, mandolin, ukulele, and violin. She studied creative writing at Vancouver Film School and has appeared in musical theater shows and jazz clubs. Tom Aries, on the other hand, is a Western German electronic synthesizer player, songwriter, and producer. He has extensive compositional expertise and artistically mixes his classical piano background with influences from synthesizer synth sounds from the 1980s to create that breakthrough full-house spectacular symphonic sound. When you put these two together, you get magic straight out of a Hollywood script!
They now come out in a journey through melodies and realized prophecies in “Arrival,” an album that merges that delightful retro sound with colorful synth-pop and trip pop painted glamorously with that future vibe in what may be called as “Synth Pop Opera.”
“Arrival” is a trip through the depths of apathy, mediocrity, and scarcity to ultimately discover your inherent strength to do amazing things with the remainder of your life. Behind those opulent instrumental pieces lies a journey through the valley of death, finally liberating oneself and reveling in victory!
“Sneak Preview” combines intensity and earthiness — philosophy and prophecy are merged to create the palpable thrill of someone who has just discovered some of life’s true treasures. Two eyes to see the wonders of the world, two legs to explore it all, and a roof over their heads to keep them safe! The breathtaking piano and decent rhythmic drumming, finely curated with the bass and other patterns and pop parts, make a listener feel safer, calmer, and happier by virtue of their euphonious vibe.
“Lost in Separate Worlds” and “Toxic City” transport the listener to an 80s planet where everything feels strangely familiar while simultaneously providing another blinding sight of a chaotic future looming in the background. All we have to do now is hold on to Moon’s bluesy and perfectly polished angelic vocals for delight!
“Never Ending Escape” exudes a distinctive aura, and the superb instrumental element, led by moon’s mellifluous and smooth vocals, creates a near-mystical sight to see, reminding a listener that the best thinking is done in solitude. In the midst of chaos, the worse has been created!
“Cold” is a sad, emotion-filled song that is developed from the ground up, with the unrelenting piano sound being complemented by Moon’s impassioned vocals and possessing the uniqueness of a wonderful and genius composition that feels forever ethereal!
The entire album is a pleasure, and it truly represents the pinnacle of pure brilliance. Lose yourself and imagine yourself in a little boat sailing through the limitless Indian ocean – fully open and wildly alive as Moon and Aries anchor the boat in the lee of the island! “Arrival” is now available to stream on all of your favorite digital streaming services.
