“INFLATED EGO” the EP finally dropped- a 5-piece masterpiece that really highlights the direction Marc Willis wants to take both as an artist and a producer. It has not been an easy journey—this collection could already have been released years ago, but due to Marc’s obsession with details and misconceived need for perfection, its ultimate delay proved costly to his career.
He is now back on his feet, and the new release, which took him 4-5 months, is a huge testament to his growth, maturity, and unyielding determination and focus to get things done.
“REBIRTH” is a haunting masterpiece off of this EP featuring guest lyricist Yadda Man. This ear-grabbing banger cuts across R&B and hip-hop for that across-the-board appeal. The introductory keyboard keys are something else and lay the perfect foundation before the lively beats and rhythms set in to make this an undeniable banger.
“REBIRTH” really highlights Willis’ production virtuosity; he built everything from the ground up. This is sound design at its finest and I love how his sweet-toned vocals come off haunting and leave an addicting and desirable feel from within the listener…a feeling bound to remain with you even when you are not listening to the tune!
On his part, Yadda Man does well to deliver a memorable rap performance that adds excitement and variety to this tune.
