Fusing together the purity of pop sounds and the sonic richness of electronic instruments, James Bene the songwriter, singer, and spiritualist creates a universe that is open, truthful, and surprisingly relatable by his way of transforming his triumphs and anxieties into songs that explore the human emotions. To this date and as a young prodigious achiever, he has dedicated his life to healing and inspiring music- pouring his soul into every note, melody, and instrument. His holistic approach to music has allowed him to eloquently express himself through music with his intimate and personal approach to lyricism allowing him access to new depths and dimensions within his art pieces and the result is a vibrant career and that spirited and personal connection with his music displaying a colorful, artistic and dynamic world that brings awareness to the mind, body, and soul. He has lived as a New Yorker but relocated to Los Angeles, California to pursue his music more seriously.
His EP which is slowly yet significantly taking shape has two official releases so far: “Hours” and “American Warrior” and the third unreleased single “Mountain” is set to be available on all the major streaming platforms as of 22nd April 2022. “Hours” is fresher than a daisy, taking the heart by the side and having a deeply intimate conversation about a love that never was. And as if reading the room, the melody backs this melancholic theme superbly with the special kind of percussion integrating with his expressively emotional vocals to design a melting glow of euphony with near-universal appeal.
“American Warrior,” tells a story and the story gets reflected through the daily hustles and bustles of life- the ambition is priceless even in the face of a rapidly moving and evolving world that seeks to put some of our skills into extinction. With every rise of the rhythmic tale in the melody, there is an equal rise in power, determination, and resiliency. Performed to striking anthemic glamour, this track will have you blossoming with determination and resoluteness as it speaks to the warrior and giant culminated deep within you- that the mighty goliaths of ambition and the massive behemoth of imagination within you must never accept defeat and surrender easily in the face of any little setback!
“Mountain” is personal to James Bene and was inspired by the true story of his life’s journey battling trauma and other emotional storms while growing up. His soaring vocals are backed by stunningly emotion-filled melodic flair and impassioned lyrics which are full of frankness and vulnerability to allow listeners battling similar emotional storms to find comfort in and find a way out of those situations. He seeks to inspire others to stop surviving and start living- you can allow yourself to become paralyzed by a fear of fighting through the trauma or you can go out there and astonish the world by kicking out the victim mentality – but you don’t get to do both!
