Bryan C. Simmons was born in Vallejo, California a hub for culturally rich music and is where he developed a penchant for specific melodies that speak to the soul without the aroma of lyrics; his style is a unique composition as it is expressive, even though he doesn’t always appreciate being put in a restrictive box as a composer; feeling more as a jazz pianist as opposed to an outright composer! With a dialogue created between jazz and hip hop, the melodies he fashions not only feel an eclectic brand but also transform moods and feelings into a resonant body of work to get your emotions feeling in the right place.
Having toured around the world with renowned artists like the Grammy Award-winning artist Fantastic Negrito including performing at several sold-out events at a global level. Nature has always brought with it endless fascinations and during the pandemic, Bryan C. Simmons found a way to interact with it and from his own interactions came the inspiration to transform nature’s language into impactful melodies which I feel every listener will appreciate.
Bryan C. Simmons thus reimagined a nature-inspired masterpiece titled, “Nature’s Harmony Vol. 1” which he is set to officially release on 21st October 2022. Having listened to this authentic collection, one particular track really piqued my interest; “Fungus (seven five)”
There an abundance of melody and intrigue in this tune with a special blend between the piano and drums flavored with what feels like nature’s innate setting with the appropriate nuances of nature samples like the free flow of wind, birds sounds and the sway of water making this a deeply meditative tune that is best to study to or just enjoy a deep tissue massage to.
