She is young and talented with the world at her feet, claiming her power and taking her position rightfully through her expressive musical style by blending her beautiful melodic mellifluous vocals with the unique blend of R&B to design a captivating and indescribably fashionable world aura that have the backing of alluring, abstract and ambient elements. ‘Messed Up” is a tremendous double-edged track for its songwriting and production merit. The coupled-up release entails two endearing tracks “Messed Up” and ‘Stay Wit me”. ‘Messed Up” takes up the more nostalgic vibe of the old R&B groove with its revealing and reminiscently evocative lyricism. It almost feels as if you are listening to the works of Mary J. Blige and Whitney Houston all over again. The way she excels on her lead vocals taking control of the ensuing melody with her gripping vocality is not something you get to hear every other day. She individually brings out the lyrical and emotional sense of the track in her own vocal flair and though she is messed up after a breakup, her cheerful tone tells of a story of a resilient woman ready to fight again and reclaim her throne.
‘”Stay Wit Me” is more powerful, more vibrant, and takes a deep dive in melodicism and harmony with the more expressive bass and drums taking lead and taking their respective part perfectly. The bass specifically steps out of the pocket with decorative flair and to add more intoxication to the track, her stylistically powerful lead vocal presentation guides the track home stamping its status as a certified hit song that is brimming with unique and impressive quality. This is one of the best single releases I’ve ever listened to by a factor of a million. It is truly wonderful and pretty close to magical.
This captivating two in one melody has taken a near-mystical quality and even unfolds better than a listener could have dreamed, taking you willingly to the 7th heaven and making you enjoy the Casablanca melody that has been calibrated to world-class. This latest release is akin to life’s finest treasures which live in their simplest moments and August Rayne has offered us another stunning glimpse of two worlds born of hurt and power. The latent power in her voice and her hardwired capacity to access the realm of pure genius is why every listener should be frolicking within her presence taking in her music as it comes and sharing it with immediate effect for the world as atrocious as it is, needs such saving grace only she is capable of providing.
